How long does a roof replacement take?+

Larger roofs, complex slopes, or deck repairs discovered during tear-off can extend the timeline. We tell you at the estimate if a job is likely to run two days.
Do you work with insurance companies on storm damage claims?+
Yes. After a wind, hail, or storm event, we inspect and document the damage with photos and a written scope. We can be on-site during your adjuster's visit to make sure what we found is properly captured. We don't negotiate with your insurer on your behalf — that's your adjuster's role — but we make sure the documentation supports your claim. One thing to know: any contractor who offers to waive your deductible is asking you to commit insurance fraud. A legitimate contractor will never suggest this.

Your new roof comes with two types of coverage: a GAF manufacturer warranty on the materials, and a workmanship guarantee from Ten Point Roofing on the installation. The specific terms — what's covered, for how long, and under what conditions — depend on the GAF program applied to your project and are documented in your contract. Ask us to name the specific program before you sign.
Do you offer financing?+

How do I know if I need a repair or a full replacement?+
Age and scope of the problem. A repair is usually the right call when the roof is relatively young and the damage is isolated — a failed pipe boot, a section of lifted flashing, a few missing shingles. A replacement makes more sense when the roof is near the end of its expected lifespan and showing wear across multiple areas. We tell you honestly which situation you're in when we're on the roof.
How do ice dams form, and what can I do about them?+
Ice dams form when heat escaping through the roof deck melts snow higher on the slope. That water runs down to the cold eave, refreezes, and builds up a dam of ice. Melt water then backs up under the shingles above the dam. The immediate fix is addressing the entry point. The long-term fix is the attic: proper insulation keeps the roof deck cold, and adequate ventilation — soffit and ridge — exhausts the air warming the deck from below.
When should I call you versus waiting to see if the problem gets worse?+
Call when you see a shingle in the yard after a storm, a dark spot on a ceiling, lifted or cracked flashing visible from the ground, or any sign of water entry. Small roof problems get worse with weather, and the longer a leak runs, the more it can damage decking, insulation, and interior finishes.
